Charcoal Portrait of Ben, Ruby, Mable and Ruby - From Start to Finish

This four-piece commission was commissioned by Richard for his girlfriend Sue's birthday.
As there were three dogs and a cat to draw Richard and I decided it was best to draw four separate portraits rather than squeeze all four pets into one drawing.
I finished the commission off with a lovely bespoke frame with a midnight blue velvet-look mount.
It took around five months to complete and whilst I was working on the commission Ruby sadly passed away so her portrait became even more special for Sue.
Richard and Sue were both delighted with the finished piece and hung it on their wall straight away!
See how the piece developed in the video below:

"Received this beautiful picture as a birthday present, sadly lost my oldest dog Ruby (bottom left on the picture) before the picture was finished but now thanks to Emma I can still see her every morning. The likeness to all of them is really amazing, something to treasure for years to come."
